Tribal Wars, commonly referred to as TW, is a browser-based, massive multiplayer online real time strategy game set in the Middle Ages. Each player takes control over a small village, it grows, and can begin to expand on other villages to their reach and capabilites and its allies eventually Tribe.

Each player controls their game from their village. From the main screen, the player such as the village can “visit” buildings to recruit seat to buildings, the barracks or stable soldiers and control the rally point troop to construct. Each screen can be accessed by clicking on a link, and the vast majority of the game is played through text-based inter-include. Some players choose to place information such as in-game personal allies, ASCII art, or quotes.
